Lil Peep - Star Shopping
Star Shopping is a simple track with an acoustic guitar playing throughout the majority of the song. I feel like the mixing of the drums should be more focused on making the drums stand out as they need to be carrying the song.The hi-hats should definitely stand out. In this sort of genre (emo rap) it is important for the drums to be present. They're minimal which matches the vibe more, but as a music student I'd like to be able to hear what I'm listening to. The song could also do with more bass in it as from what i can hear it is just vocals, vocal effects, drums and guitar. Maybe some form of synthesiser.

MGMT - Time to Pretend
This track consists of a lot of different sounds, samples and instruments. This means some of the more important parts of the song can get overshadowed. I feel like the main thing that should be improved is the fact that the bass line is too loud and the drums need to be brought to the forefront of the song more. This will add more punch to the song. But even though I've said this I feel like the song sounds equal in frequency due to the amount of high pitched synths used in it.
